Stitched Insights is the only SaaS platform that enables F500 consumer brands to identify competitors' customer demographics (like Gen-Z vs Millennials) and forecast corresponding shopping preferences based on linguistic behavioral cohorts instead of biological red herrings (e.g. linguistic age vs biological age). Powered by Linguistic Demographics IP developed by SI’s head of science, now at Stanford’s Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Lab. With clients including some of the biggest consumer companies in the world, the platform enables merchandising teams to create more competitive merchandising assortments, content marketing teams to produce the most relevant targeted content and product teams to expand into new markets.

World-Leading Customer Forecasting Expert 

Peter Fader is a world-leading expert on analyzing behavioral data to understand and forecast customer shopping/purchasing activities and will elevate the capabilities of the Stitched Insights platform to new levels. In 2015, Pete co-founded a predictive analytics firm called Zodiac - which he sold to Nike in 2018. Pete then co-founded Theta to commercialize his recent work on “customer-based corporate valuation”.

He now works with firms from a wide range of industries, such as telecommunications, financial services, gaming/entertainment, retailing, and pharmaceuticals. Relevant applications to Stitched Insights focus on topics such as customer relationship management, lifetime value of the customer, and sales forecasting for new products. Much of his research highlights the consistent, yet always surprising, behavioral patterns that exist across these industries and other seemingly different domains. The Stitched Insights leadership team is fortunate to be supported by renowned operators and is strengthened with this new addition of Peter Fader.

Academic Awards and Customer-Centricity Books

Peter Fader is the Frances and Pei-Yuan Chia Professor of Marketing at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has been widely recognized and awarded for his research and teaching accomplishments. Among these achievements, he was named by Advertising Age as one of its inaugural “25 Marketing Technology Trailblazers” in 2017.

Pete is also the author of three books: “Customer Centricity: Focus on the Right Customers for Strategic Advantage” (2020), “The Customer Centricity Playbook” with Sarah Toms (2018), and “The Customer-Base Audit” with Bruce Hardie and Michael Ross (2022).

World-Renowned in Analytics

Eric is world-renowned for his wealth of experience in the field of analytics and is currently serving as Chairperson of the Wharton Marketing Department, The K.P. Chao Professor, Professor of Marketing, Statistics and Data Science, Economics and Education and Vice-Dean of Analytics at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Our team is excited to have Eric’s considerable academic weight and expertise behind our market-leading-technology. We’re especially looking forward to leveraging his award winning academic research in Bayesian modeling, statistical computing, and developing new methodology for unique data structures with application to business problems, and psychometrics in helping us measure the incremental impact of our new technology as it drives value for partners in new verticals (more on this in upcoming posts!)

Notable Marketing Accomplishments

As the Editor-in-Chief of Marketing Science from 2008 to 2011, Eric helmed the premier academic journal in Marketing. He was one of eight inaugural University of Pennsylvania Fellows and has been honored as: a Fellow of the American Statistical Association, a Fellow of INFORMS Society for Marketing Science, a Fellow of the American Education Research Association, a Fellow of the Wharton Risk Center, and a Senior Fellow of the Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics. Eric is also past chair of the American Statistical Association Section on Statistics in Marketing, a past statistical Fellow of Bell Labs, and was previously named DuPont Corporation’s best young researcher.

Best known for founding Travelocity.com and serving as founding Chairman of Kayak.com, Terry Jones has become a powerful voice in the world of entrepreneurship through his numerous speaking engagements and the publication of his book, ON Innovation. His founding success has established him as a thought leader on innovation, making Terry an amplifying addition to the Stitched Insights team.

While Terry Jones was serving as Chief Information Officer of SABRE (a division of American Airlines), he led a team of six working on a project that became Travelocity.com. Jones served as CEO of Travelocity for seven years transforming it to a public company with three billion dollars in travel sales. He left Travelocity when the company was taken private and became part of the founding team at Kayak.com, a company that yet again revolutionized how travel was purchased. He served as Chairman of the company from its founding until it was sold to Priceline for $1.8 billion dollars in 2013.

Terry is the author of the best selling books, ON Innovation and Disruption OFF, has served on over 20 boards and currently serves on the advisory board of Stitched Insights, and boards of Amgine, Crytica Security, Sonicwall and Camping and Education Foundation.
